Matta and Alexis K

I came across this not ten minutes ago. I'm almost certain that I have a new obsession. Introducing Matta - the production value on his material is very high, very deliberate, I hope I see more dubstep like this. Plus the video is fantastic!

On a side note, there is a girl(!) from New Zealand calling herself Alexis K, and she's produced one of the most intriguing dubstep tracks I've ever heard. The main bassline, technically called the "whompy shit," sounds gutteral and unpleasant by itself, but when combined with all the other elements of the track then something strange happens, and I've never really found a better example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.
